Philippines Ms Earth candidate Imelda Schweighart failed to make it to the finals of Ms Earth 2016 pageant held on Saturday. Netizens speculate that it is because of her prior remark compairing Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to Hitler for which the candidate quickly apologized after fans of the president were enraged. She was quoted by Rappler saying “I support Duterte in all of his endeavors. And I hope you find forgiveness in your hearts because I didn’t mean it. I didn’t mean it in a bad way. Sorry. I just see headlines and I just said it. I didn’t mean it to be like this. I’m sorry,”
