This is the first for the Philippines. Jacklyn Jose grabs the trophy for the best actress for her performance in Ma’ Rosa.
“I don’t know what to say. I’m so surprised! I just went to have the red carpet walk with my daughter.” Jacklyn said in her emotional acceptance speech.
Jacklyn gave her thanks to Brillante Mendoza, the director of the film Ma’ Rosa. She also shares the recognition with her real life daughter and daughter in the movie, actress Andi Eigenman, and with all the Filipino people.
